
Our Policies
Every order is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to artistic interpretation. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cookie decorators. We do not take responsibility if the color of the decoration is a different shade that you had in mind.
While Mountain Mama Cookie Company makes every effort to provide exactly the flavors, decorations, sizes, shapes and colors you have requested, the creation of our cookies is an art and may be subject to slight variations. We will not guarantee to match colors or duplicate an item exactly. We hold all final say in decisions regarding the creation of our products.
We take our obligation to provide your cookie order very seriously. However, should an unforeseeable event occur that prevents us from fulfilling our obligation and forces us to cancel our agreement with you, we will refund your payment in FULL.
Color bleeding: Please know that very dark colors have a tendency to bleed. While there's no way to prevent this, we do our best to minimize it. Cookies with a normal amount of bleeding will NOT be discounted, including "shadowing" of polka dots and darkening of monograms.
We reserve the right to take and use our own photos of your cookies to use for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to you. All pictures that we are tagged in or posted to our social media accounts are subject to the same terms.
We accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, or CashApp. We DO NOT accept personal checks through mail.
Mountain Mama Cookie Company requires payment to finalize all orders at the time of booking. Any communication about your proposed order is only an inquiry until payment is rendered. If you have inquired about an order, but have not placed your payment to secure your date by time agreed between yourself and Mountain Mama Cookie Company we will not be able to add your order to our schedule at that point.
You may make reasonable changes to the design of your cookies up to 7 days prior to your event. Changes in product design after order placement may result in an increased balance due. Complete redesign of an order could result in a consultation being required to meet your design expectations. Consultations are subject to potential schedule availability and fees.
No refunds are given on any orders unless the complete order is returned. NO CASH refunds, only STORE CREDIT. If you would like to postpone an order for another date it must be rescheduled within ONE YEAR of the initial payment date. After the year all credit is forfeited.
Although our policy is that orders are paid in full at the time of booking, special circumstances may arise in which a balance is due after the initial payment. Any additional balance will be discussed with the customer and approved prior to being added. This payment can be made at the time of approval or if Mountain Mama Cookie Company agrees, the remaining balance can be paid at the time of pick up. No order will be allowed to leave without payment IN FULL.
Full refunds requested after the cookies have been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a partial refund in the form of a store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the cookies are determined to not meet our standards. Cookies must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably within 24 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Mountain Mama Cookie Company. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cookies that have already been eaten. *Store credit is based on how quickly the cookies are returned, how much has been consumed, and what we determine the quality to be. Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.
After you or Your Designated Party has picked up an item, it is considered “Accepted”. Accepted means that you, the client (or your designated party), has looked at the item and was satisfied with it. If an order is picked up and no design issues are expressed at that time, no refunds or partial refunds will be given. It is your responsibility to address the discrepancy at the time of pick up.
Clients who do not pick up their order within 48 hours of their scheduled pickup date must understand that their cookies will be forfeited and donated to a local charity, police or fire department. We do not offer storage services due to limited resources.
Mountain Mama Cookie Company is NOT responsible for orders once they leave the premises. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cookies during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cookies upon pick up.
A cookie that has arrived in two or more pieces is considered a broken cookie. Cracks in the frosting or minor chipping of the cookie is not considered to be a broken cookie. We do not offer refunds or adjustments for cracks or chipping.
If you do not feel comfortable transporting your order, Mountain Mama Cookie Company will be happy to deliver it on your behalf. Delivery is an additional fee that is determined by the distance of the delivery.
